This is quite late considering that Labor Day is way over. but then it's not the timing that counts. i guess we just have to look at what the mighty god of evil has to say during a holiday...let me translate it for you (see remarks in parenthesis):

Re: Things to ponder (Things i should have said a week ago to convince you to work on a holiday)

I didn’t get a chance to wish you all happy long weekend … While I know May Day is a holiday, it slipped my mind that it indeed was a long weekend (I forgot to give you more work). Anyway, Happy Long Weekend (I hope you did not forget to bring home work). Here’s something to reflect on for those who are reflective … variants of what I keep reminding you about:

- We reap what we sow – Anon (If you work hard and smart, you'll earn more. In short, work even on a holiday.)
- We seal our fate by the choices we make – Esteban song (If we choose to work, even on holidays, we will get ahead.)
- We will never have enough time to do all the things we want to do and we will never have everything we want to have, so we always have to make choices that determine how we live and where we are going – Ashok Nath (If we take off on holidays because we want to do things other than work, we will never get these things done. There's never enough time to write a book, play with your dog, plant trees, etc. So you might as well work.)
- Where you will sit when you are old shows where you stood in youth. -Yoruba Proverb (If you work hard during your youth, you might probably end up with enough reitrement pay when you're old. If you're life had been ONLY work when you were young, then you end up with nothing when you retire..)
- Old age takes away from us what we have inherited and gives what we have earned. --Gerald Brenan (Since i am old already, i don't have the inherited good values that i got from my parents. For some reason, they are not with me anymore..I do have the money that i earned from work though..)
